Our mission is to increase the attractiveness, status, and quality of vocational education. We encourage people to choose their education based on their interest and strengths rather than traditional gender roles or stereotypes.
Through skills competitions and the participation of the National Skills Team in international championships, we showcase strong examples of professional expertise.

We collaborate with industry and schools, and we run information campaigns aimed at young people and newly arrived immigrants. We also participate in fairs and Open houses for upper secondary/high schools to spread the message that vocational education is a smart choice.
WorldSkills Sweden is a tripartite initative between the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO), the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv), and the Swedish government.
The Swedish government participates through the Ministry of Education (Utbildningsdepartementet), the Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket), and the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education (Myndigheten för yrkeshögskolan).
In addition to our initiatiors we collaborate with industry organizations, vocational committees, schools, and companies.
